ANA RITO (Lisbon, 1978) Visual artist, Curator, Researcher and Teacher. She holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, specializing in Installation. Her domain of specialization focuses on transmedia practices, the performativity of the moving image and the dynamics of the viewer. Among the curatorial projects: the exhibition SHE IS A FEMME FATALE, Foundation of Modern and Contemporary Art, Berardo Collection Museum (2009); OBSERVERS - Revelations, Transits and Distances, Foundation for Modern and Contemporary Art Berardo Collection Museum (2011); CURATING THE DOMESTIC - Images @ home, Lisbon Architecture Triennial (2013); THE INCORPORATED IMAGE / THE EMBODIED VISION - Performance for the camera, National Museum of Contemporary Art - Museu do Chiado (2014); Archive and Democracy, by José Maçãs de Carvalho, MAAT (2017) and CONSTELLATIONS: a choreography of minimal gestures (2019-2022). She teaches in the Masters Courses in Curatorial Studies and PhD in Contemporary Art at the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra_Hugo Barata (Lisbon, 1978) Visual artist, teacher, cultural mediator and independent curator. Graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, completed a Master's in Painting. Currently develops PhD studies in Cinema and Media Arts at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. He has exhibited his artistic work since the early 2000s. Included in several collections, public and private, in Portugal and abroad. Since 2000 he has been practicing as an Independent Curator, organizing and producing collective exhibitions with artists of national and international renown, such as Paula Rego, Julião Sarmento or Pedro Cabrita Reis, Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp or Bruce Nauman, in institutions such as Berardo Collection Museum, the Chiado Museum or the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Galeria Zé dos Bois and Plataforma Revólver. Since 2006 he has also worked in the areas of mediation of contemporary art with several entities, namely the Berardo Collection Museum, the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, the MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, the Manuel de Brito Art Center or the Bordalo Pinheiro Museum, the Municipal Directorate of Culture (DMC) and EGEAC. In these institutions, it conceives and organizes diverse Artistic-Educational Projects, Research and Monitoring of the Setting of Exhibitions, Conception and Orientation of Pedagogical Activities (including public with SEN - Specific Educational Needs), Workshops, Conferences and Continued Projects of Artistic and Social Intervention. Conceives and carries out a series of Programs and Training for different audiences, in collaboration with organizations such as the Lisbon City Council, Municipal Culture Directorate - DMC, EGEAC, Acesso_Cultura, Casa Pia de Lisboa and the Descobrir Program - Gulbenkian Education for Culture Program, Art and Science. Collaborates in the 2nd Edition of the 10x10 Project, Project for Teachers of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and also the Creative Learning Project - EGEAC / DMC. He has been a member of the Governing Bodies of the ECARTEXXI Association since 2018. He is Certified by Universidade do Minho with the CCPFC / RFO with Nº37923 / 17.
