Julee (Juliana Lee Pinto, Curitiba, 1994) holds a degree in Multimedia Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon (2020). Her artistic practice explores the intersection of art, nature, and spirituality, emphasizing the symbolism of materials and the transformative power of matter. Integrating traditional techniques with experimental processes, including alternative photographic methods and biomaterials, her work engages with the interaction between materiality, image-making, and the themes of individual and collective healing. Through an approach that examines the connections between the material and immaterial, her practice reflects on the duality and cyclical nature of human and natural experiences. She explores the boundaries between human beings, nature, and transcendence, offering a profound reflection on how the interaction between intention, material, and image can reveal complex, cyclical dimensions of existence. Based in Lisbon since 2017, she has been exhibiting her work regularly since 2020.
