Bruno José Silva (1992, Portugal) is an interdisciplinary artist artist working at the intersection of arts, media, technology and research. His artistic practice which is research and experimentation based on the concept of image in contemporary era. Experimenting with new techniques and processes of image creation has his research. He has been trying to find other ways of producing images that stem from photography, but become another medium in their production process. Additionally, he has exploring the idea of not having control in their production. From this central axis, he tries to develop forms that question our sensorial experience and exhibition act itself, his creates proposals supported by various media that adresses concepts related with space, materiality and time. He has presented his work over several solo and collaborative exhibitions in both independent and institutional spaces. Since 2018, he has been collaborating with theater and performance, for which he develops set design and photography. In 2023, was selected to present his work in Biennale de l'Image Tangible (Paris), In 2021, he was winner of the ‘Keep It Brian Video Award’ (Portugal), a finalist in the ‘National Exhibition of Young Creators‘(Portugal) and in 2019 he was awarded an honorable mention for his work at the ‘JOV'ARTE Biennial’ (Portugal).
