Carolina Trigueiros is a curator, writer and cultural producer based in Lisbon, Portugal. Carolina has a post-graduate degree in Curatorial Studies from Nova University, Lisbon (2017), and a bachelor degree in Cultural Communications from Católica University (2013), in Lisbon and Barcelona. Recently she participated in the Kuma International Summer School on contemporary art from post-conflict societies, in Sarajevo - focusing mainly on Bosnia-Herzegovina and former Yugoslavia. In 2018 Carolina was appointed the curator of EXQUISITO Festival in Lisbon, dedicated to emerging arts, presenting new works by Francisco Pinheiro, Clara Imbert, Diogo Bolota, Bárbara Bulhão, ABCC, among others. Carolina is a writer and producer at Umbigo magazine and works with the artist Tomaz Hipólito, as studio manager and founding curator of the studio’s residency program. She collaborates frequently with REDE art agency, recently as junior curator for The Cultivist - Lisbon (2018) and on Los Carpinteros exhibition at Carpintarias de S. Lázaro (2017). Among other projects, Carolina has curated the exhibitions “Vazamento”, by Jean-François Krebs (2018); Carolina Pimenta’s performance and exhibition "ONE SHOT" at Rua das Gaivotas 6 (2018); and “Ensaios (sobre a mesa): a partir da coleção do Museu de Lisboa” at Galeria Quadrum (2017). In the past she collaborated in the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival (2016); worked at Carpe Diem Art and Research - Center for Contemporary Art (2014-2015); was involved in the World Bank Group / Connect4Climate initiative in Washington, DC (2014); has coordinated and produced debates, talks and tour guides.
